Kristin Nakhla, Counselor
founder | licensed clinical social worker
I serve women and teens who struggle with overthinking, exhaustion, overwhelm, and guilt and want to live confidently, know their value and worth, and feel at peace.
i believe
You don’t need to be fixed.
You need to come alive…
You are the expert of your own experience. I’m here to walk alongside you toward the life you want to live.
Shame is a beast, and all of us deal with it. It’s a privilege to help women get out of the shame spiral.
Therapy works best when the client is committed to regular sessions and working in between sessions. There are 168 hours in a week. One hour with me won’t help much unless you work in between sessions.
The expectations on women and the mental load they carry is unsustainable. Let’s work together to figure out what works for you and what needs to go!
It is my greatest hope women find their own identity and start living with peace and freedom when they work with me.
Freedom is just around the corner.

My best work is with women and teen girls who are motivated to live differently but don’t have the skills or support to create change. A typical client comes to me overcome by worry and/or rumination, overwhelm, and exhaustion. She often has a great life on the outside, but finds herself stunted by incessant thoughts which affect all aspects of her life. Most often, clients come to me months or even years after knowing they need counseling but haven’t made themselves a priority or are too intimidated to get started.

I serve women and teens struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and chronic health issues.

What it’s like to work with KRISTIN
In our sessions together, we’ll incorporate the best in evidence based practices with the wisdom of faith.
I believe healing and wholeness comes when we balance our mind, body, spirit, and social lives. I offer a casual, down-to-earth, direct, come as you are approach. This creates a safe space to share and find insight. I am passionate about helping women live in the present and finding their own passions and identity.
My dog, Duncan, joins me at the office on Tuesdays!
When I am not serving clients, you’ll find me cheering on my boys playing baseball, soccer, and tennis. I absolutely love reading, hiking, spending time at the beach, and all things nature.
My lived experience coupled with personal growth and professional training make me uniquely effective.
I’ve sat with family and friends going through cancer treatment.
I’ve grieved a multitude of tragic and untimely deaths.
I’ve provided a supportive presence to countless dying men and women.
I’ve lived through decades of chronic health issues.
I’ve spent thousands of hours counseling men and women suffering from a range of issues from depression and trauma to crippling feelings of unworthiness and anxiety.
I’ve been married for 19 years and have 2 boys (middle and high school).
I was a stay-at-home mom for 9 years, homeschooling for 5 of those years.
