Suzanne Sims, Counselor

licensed clinical mental health counselor associate

I serve women and teens who feel “stuck” in their overwhelm and difficult relationships and want to identify their needs, gain confidence in their worth, and live in alignment with their purpose.

i believe

As we spend our time loving and caring for others, we often forget to love and care for ourselves…

  • Women heal in a safe, non-judgmental space where there is mutual trust and respect.

  • You steer the ship while I act as a guide and help navigate.

  • It is important to find the balance between compassion, empathy, and challenge.

  • One goal of therapy is to help clients identify their values and live in alignment with them.

  • It is a joy to help clients identify their strengths, understand their story, make meaning out of their lives, and become the best version of themselves.

  • I am passionate about helping exhausted women get replenished, set boundaries, and care for themselves as they care for others.

Change starts today.

  • I work with women who spend all of their time caregiving and have forgotten to care for themselves.

  • I serve women and teens struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and chronic health issues.

What it’s like to work with Suzanne

In our sessions together, I’ll offer compassion and empathy as we work together to identify and reach your goals.

Clients tell me they are able to trust me even though they struggle to do so in other relationships. My faith is the foundation of my life. It has been tested and I am not afraid to help women navigate faith struggles. I couple my studies in counseling with lived experience and a good dose of humor.

When I am not serving clients, you’ll find me hiking, spending time outside with family, hanging out with friends, and playing with my dogs. I am also active in my church.

My lived experience coupled with personal growth and professional training make me uniquely effective.

  • I have been actively engaged in the medical field for over 20 years.

  • I’m an entrepreneur and know the demands of owning and operating a thriving business.

  • I am passionate about animals, and have much experience serving those grieving the loss of their beloved pets.

  • I’m a wife and mom.

  • I understand the challenges of coparenting.
